Lions District 320-B in Hyderabad has been actively engaged in various initiatives aimed at improving the lives of people in the region. For the past five years, the district has been setting up a stall at the All India Industrial Exhibition Society grounds in Nampally, Hyderabad, to showcase its activities and engage with the community. Lions Day - Numaish has become a significant platform to promote the organization's work and create a lasting impact.
A Remarkable Platform:
The All India Industrial Exhibition Society has been organizing the exhibition for over eight decades. Spanning 45 days, from January 1st to February 15th each year, this event attracts a massive crowd. With thousands of visitors attending on both weekdays and weekends, it provides an ideal opportunity for Lions District 320-B to raise awareness about its noble initiatives.
Lions Day Initiative:
Recognizing the importance of Lions Day, the managing committee of the Exhibition Society designated January 30th, 2020, as the official Lions Day. The Lions organization was granted complete freedom to organize various programs and activities at the exhibition grounds. A dedicated committee, supported by Multiple District 320, took charge of making Lions Day a memorable event. Under the guidance of Council Chair Lion Ch. Prakash Rao, Lion Kamal Kishore Agarwal played a pivotal role as the coordinator between Lions and the Exhibition Society.
A Memorable Event:
On January 31st, 2020, Multiple District 320, with the active support of District 320-B, organized a Painting Contest for school children and an Environment Quiz for degree college students. Additionally, a rally showcasing Lions' service activities across the state of Telangana was held within the exhibition premises. As an entertainment highlight, a mesmerizing Musical Program was arranged, attracting approximately 10,000 spectators. Lions Day- Numaish successfully showcased the organization's diverse activities to the local community, generating significant interest and garnering appreciation for Lions' service efforts.
Promising Future:
The impact of Lions Day - Numaish has been so impressive that the managing committee of the Exhibition Society has committed to allocating one day each year for this special occasion. This recognition and support from the society highlight the positive reception of Lions' service activities and the potential for continued collaboration in the future. The program has also fostered greater coordination among the members of the seven sub-districts of Multiple District 320, strengthening the Lions community in Hyderabad.
